**Job Summary**

We would like to get in touch with experienced HR Advisors/ER Advisors to join our energetic and growing team at S & T Enterprises, a vibrant and successful Afro-Caribbean foods wholesale, cash & carry, and online store. This will be a part-time, fixed term role initially, with the hope of going full time and permanent.

The new HR Advisor joins S & T Enterprises at a very exciting time, as we enter our next phase of growth. As People Advisor, you will work with the HR Consultant to deliver the People plan, providing HR support to managers and colleagues across the Company

The role of People Advisor will be responsible for first-line support for our managers and staff on a wide variety of HR issues and employee relations cases, ensuring a best-in-class service at all times.

This is a true generalist role with a great opportunity to get involved in a wide range of people-related activities and work with managers and colleagues across all aspects of the business including sister organisations with a service-level agreement.

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing advice, guidance and coaching to managers and colleagues across the business on ER and people matters
- Ensuring all probationary reviews and 121’s are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard, providing advice to managers to support this
- Supporting the business and Managers with interviewing and assessments
- Coordinating our peer recognition programme
- Working with HR Consultant to undertake job evaluations and benchmarking
- Conducting new starter surveys to ensure our new colleagues are receiving an effective induction to the business, and conducting exit interviews, providing analysis of trends
- Collating MI information from our internal HR system and preparing key HR data/metrics including staff retention, absence etc, highlighting themes identified
- Reviewing and drafting policies, ensuring they are fit for purpose and support our commitment to equality and diversity
- This is an office-based role, the hours of work are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Fridays
- Manage and support monthly payroll process.

**Person Specification**
- It’s important to us that you love what you do and believe in providing a HR service that puts the person at the centre of every decision, conversation, process improvement or policy.
- We are looking for an experienced People Advisor who is confident in their knowledge and ability to provide sound advice across a variety of people matters including Employee Relations, HR Processes, Reward and Employee Engagement.
- You should be Level 5 CIPD qualified or studying towards this qualification
- You will have a number of years’ experience in the role of ER Advisor or HR Advisor with a track record of successfully managing a wide variety of ER matters in a busy environment
- A good attention to detail to ensure work is completed to a high standard
- A good knowledge of understanding employment legislation is key and knowing the importance of using all relevant HR tools to provide solutions for the business
- An organised, effective communicator in person and on the telephone, with professional verbal and written skills, resourceful, approachable, diligent and solutions orientated.
- A proactive and ‘can do’ attitude is essential as you will be focused on ensuring all the business HR needs are met in a professional and timely manner
- You must be tenacious and hard-working by nature but above all, focused on delivering an exceptional service to our existing and future clients
- You will be required to utilise various IT/HR software within the business so must be a competent user of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and have the ability and desire to learn new software systems
