We have an excellent opportunity for a Banking Administrator to join our Finance team based in our Nottingham office. Our hybrid working policy requires that you work at this location for a minimum of three days each week.

The main responsibilities of the role will be to support the Financial Controller with the cash management of the business, by providing regular and timely bank reconciliation reports and investigating any issues/reconciling items.

Key responsibilities of the role will also include:

- Complete regular bank reconciliations for all current and deposit accounts.
- Undertake full month end bank reconciliations for all current and deposit accounts.
- Follow up on unposted items to identify missing transactions and correct or investigate further as required in a timely manner.
- Run the daily posting log and to ensure items are posted by the finance team and highlight outstanding items as necessary.
- Respond to queries or requests for further information or back up on banking transactions and reconciliations.
- Responsible for the management and posting of any AR refunds as requested including verification of client bank details.
- Responsible for the management and posting of any EPO Deposit Account refunds as requested.
- Provide a consistently high level of customer service.
- Liaise with internal and external customers/ suppliers to ensure timely resolution of queries.
- Support the finance team and wider business as directed and recommend process improvements where applicable.
- Assist during busy periods (for example, month end close, audit, year-end etc.)

**Requirements**:
**Technical**
- Prior experience and understanding of completing reconciliations and investigating mis-matches/queries etc. in a timely and logical manner.
- Ability to provide clear explanations and workings to support the reconciliations and other investigative work.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to use finance systems or willingness to learn.
- Experience of working within a changing and busy finance environment undertaking a range of finance tasks and responsibilities.

**Personal**
- Strong time management and organisation skills required. The ability to prioritise work is essential.
- Good communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- To be professional at all times and build good working relationships.
- Flexible and adaptable in approach with an inquiring mind to challenge appropriately where necessary. Receptive to learning new skills.

- Use of initiative when problem solving demonstrating a logical and consistent approach.
- To work flexibly to meet the needs of the service is essential.
