We are a well-established, high-end cabinetmaking firm with over 30 years of experience. We pride ourselves on combining technology with a deep understanding of cabinet design, materials manufacture and installation to provide high quality bespoke cabinetry to architects, interior designers and private customers.

We are looking for a cabinet maker to join our small team to design, make and install our built-in furniture.

As our furniture is designed on CAD and manufactured on CNC, you need to be experienced with computers and computer generated drawings as well as tools, machinery and materials.

**To summarise, here are the must-have skills and experience**:

- Be familiar with the safe operation of machinery such as a CNC machine, table saw etc.
- Be able to use hand and power tools.
- Be able to read manufacturing drawings. A minimum of 3 years working with CAD.
- Experience working on sites (e.g. assembly, installation, fitting, painting, decorating, building).
- Have a clean driving license.

**Nice to have skills and experience**:

- Cabinet making, assembly and installation skills.
- Component finishing e.g. sanding, spray finishing etc.
- Operating a wood-based CNC machine.
- Experience with Autocad or V Carve or similar software.

**Job description**:
You will be working on average 3-4 days in the workshop in Mitcham and 1-2 days on sites around London.

Ideally, you are willing and able to get involved in all aspects of cabinet making, starting with a signed off customer design all the way to installation. This would involve building the manufacturing drawings, programming and running the machinery, finishing of components (spray painting, denibbing, sanding), workshop assembly of components through to site installation. We are happy to train you in the aspects you are less familiar with as long as you have the basics and the aptitude to learn quickly.

The aspiration is that over time, you would grow into being able to lead these projects on your own and be able to manage the customer relationship directly. We are also open to discussing alternate career paths e.g. specialisation.

**Pay and other useful details**:

- £35,000-£45,000 pa depending on experience.
- Hours are 8.30-4.30 + occasional overtime with ½ hr for lunch, usually longer when on site.
