Hays Technology are working in partnership with a large organisation in Loughborough to recruit an Agresso Systems Developer on a permanent basis.
About the role:
The System Developer plays a key part in the ongoing development and maintenance of the Agresso/Unit4 ERP system. Working both autonomously and with colleagues they resolve complex, challenging system issues, identify and implement system changes and lead onprojects to implement new functionality within the system.
Job Duties:

- Deliver a quality, efficient service to financial system users both within the Finance Office and the wider organisation.
- Lead on development projects from inception to completion, working and communicating with users, key stakeholders and/or external consultants where applicable.
- Develop financial and management reports using tools such as Excelerator and SQL, to inform staff at all levels including senior management and committees.
- Responsibility for specified areas of the finance system, ensuring the system and processes meet the requirements of stakeholders. Lead on the development and user support for these areas.
- Identify where existing system processes and functionality can be streamlined and improved. Implement changes following consultation with key stakeholders.
- Work autonomously to resolve second tier, complex support issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain and control the security and financial integrity of the system and its data throughout any work undertaken, ensuring that system processes adhere to Financial Regulations.
- Develop and deliver training programmes and materials in the use of Agresso/Unit4 ERP.
- Prepare and maintain guidance notes and documentation relating to the use of Agresso/Unit4 ERP.
- Work and communicate with staff at all levels of the organisation to assess system issues and change requests.
- Work with IT colleagues on the creation of effective interfaces between other corporate systems and Agresso/Unit4 ERP, ensuring data is transferred accurately.
- Work collaboratively with other system owners and IT colleagues to resolve issues as they arise.
- Line management of the Systems Analyst, supporting their development both professionally and technically, offering guidance and support where required.
- Technical experience of developing and maintaining a finance system.
- Supporting end users to resolve system issues.
- Training end users in system processes and the development of training materials.
- Good working knowledge of SQL.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage own work and meet deadlines.
- Positive, proactive approach to work with ability to work methodically and prioritise.

Desirable criteria:

- Experience of developing and maintaining the Agresso/Unit4 ERP finance system, including resolving complex issues.
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of writing Excelerator reports.
- Experience of upgrading a finance system.
- AAT, part qualified or qualified accountant.
