Our valued client base includes some of the UK’s foremost main contractors and developers, which enables us to work across different sectors, including Agriculture, Commercial, Education, Health, Industrial, Oil and Gas and Retail.

We are currently looking to recruit a Yard Operative for our busy loading and dispatch area. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations in the yard.

**Main Responsibilities-**:

- Lift loads that are passed out from Paint shop loading area and store under Gantry or onto trailer.
- Load trailers from completed loads as per Transport Managers Schedule.
- Load and unload materials in a safe and controlled manner.
- Ensure materials are booked in an out as required using BHC procedures and processes.
- Complete relevant documentation and record work activity using TnT scanning system or strumis system.
- Operation of all equipment required for role in a safe manner.
- Liaise with Transport Manager to ensure correct loads are ready for uplift when required.
- Continuous housekeeping, ensuring a clean and safe working environment at all times, following BHC written work instructions.
- Assist with smooth running of all operations when required.
- Ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner according to company policies and procedures.
- Keep Gantry and surrounding area clean and tidy and ensure capacity is utilised to its full potential. If anything has to be placed outside gantry permission has to be given by CNC supervisor.

**Essential skills and experience**
- Experience in a similar role
- Fork
- lift licence would be advantageous,
- Overhead crane experience would be advantageous.
