Apprentice Baker

We are looking to hire an apprentice baker to join our independent bakery on Battle High Street. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and start a career bakery sector. You will work in a busy environment and be trained on how to create beautiful bakes.

Wage: From £5.28 per hour. Wage is negotiable dependant on experience.
- **What will the apprentice be doing?**_

Apprentice Bakers will learn:

- Measuring ingredient quantities
- Making cakes
- How to safely work machinery, such as power mixers, industrial ovens and production lines
- Receiving orders
- Managing supplies
- Keeping production areas clean
- How to come up with ideas for new products
- **Training Provider: Plumpton College**_

Plumpton College is a dedicated training provider in the heart of the South Downs. With expertise in the Land, Food and Environment sectors, Plumpton provides a wealth of knowledge to its apprentices.

Baking apprentices will be able to utilise our state of the art baking equipment in the new 'Agri-food' building, which features master-chef style ovens.

Apprentices will train at Plumpton once a week.

- Apprenticeship Certificate (L2 Bakery)
- Level 2 Certificate in Baking Industry Skills
- Level 1 maths and English (if applicable)
