Trainee Children

An exciting opportunity to join Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust as a trainee Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner (CYWP). One post will be based with West Lancashire CAMHS (Skelmersdale) and another with Lancaster & Morecambe CAMHS & Children's Psychological Services (Morecambe). You will join an established group of qualified CYWPs and Primary Mental Health Workers in each team across the trust in a virtual network of Thrive Quadrant 1 and 2 practitioners.

The new training posts for Postgraduate Diploma in Evidence Based Interventions will commence in January 2023. The posts are part of the Children and Young People's IAPT initiative.Applicants should have experience of working with children and young people and the aptitude to undertake a postgraduate study programme. Applicants are required to have a degree or be able to demonstrate academic equivalence. CYWPs provide low intensity interventions for anxiety, depression and conduct problems including guided self-help in community settings. The training is provided by Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust in partnership with the University of Manchester and trainees will attend for study approximately two days a week, with the remaining three being service based.
