Deli Assistant

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, such as sandwiches, salads, and soups
- Assist customers in selecting and customizing their orders
- Upsell additional items or promotions to increase sales
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including food preparation stations and customer seating areas
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety of customers and staff
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register accurately
- Help with inventory management, including restocking ingredients and supplies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working in a kitchen or deli setting is preferred
- Strong upselling skills to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order customization
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and regulations
- Culinary training or certification is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with coworkers and customers
- Flexibility to work in various shifts, including weekends and holidays

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £10.00-£11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
