**The role**

We deliver creative, dynamic and person-centred services providing a range of individualised support to people living in shared supported living properties and individual tenancies.

Reporting to the Service Manager and team within the main Newcastle hub, you will be responsible for:

- Producing and maintaining an accurate and up to date staff and people we support rota that takes into consideration people we support requirements and staff agreed annual leave for the month ahead.
- Using the rota system prepare weekly schedules, ensuring efficient allocation of resource whilst matching Support Workers to people whom we support. Making sure that the schedule is prepared in line assessed needs and agreed hours.
- Communicating rota’s to people we support and staff at least two weeks in advance.
- Maintain and update personal details on a database with relevant information including contact details, and staffing locations.
- Ensure changes or adjustments are communicated to people we support, staff and managers as soon as reasonably possible.
- Co-ordinate staff’s training in line with the organisations policies and procedures, ensuring that all systems are up to date.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Maintain and develop positive and beneficial relationships will stakeholders.
- Liaise with the HR Department to ensure that new starters, leavers and contract changes are processed in a timely manner and entered onto Staff Plan.
- Ensure that timesheets are completed correctly and in line with Staff Plan recording annual leave, absences and any extra hours worked.
- Ensure staff are rota’d to attend team meetings, supervisions and appraisal meetings in line with policy and procedure.
- Arrange flexible cover for colleagues in the event of holidays, sickness and emergencies.

Previous experience is desirable for this position although full training will be provided.

A basic DBS is required for this role.
