Construction Site Labourer

We have new vacancies for Construction site workers at Shepherd Contracting Ltd. across residential sites in Cornwall.

Shepherd Contracting Limited is a Construction business based in Penryn, Cornwall. Our work takes us from Penzance to Plymouth and keeps everyone busy from Mon-Fri (weekends are for relaxing, right?). We are closed on bank holidays and weekends, occasional overtime will be available in the Spring/Summer months.

We are a family run business with valued employees who have been with us for nearly a decade.

**Responsibilities**

You will be involved in various construction projects from start to finish whilst following all Health and Safety Procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Assist in loading and unloading materials
- Operate and care for construction equipment and machines
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards
- Dig trenches, backfill holes, and compact earth to prepare for construction
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete
- Assist with setting up and securing job sites

**Skills**:

- Physical strength and stamina to handle manual labor tasks
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and procedures
- Good communication skills to take directions effectively

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 100% (required)
