About us

Our Garstang shop is looking for volunteers to join the team. We are based in the beautiful historic town of Garstang, the first Fairtrade town in England with its Thursday market dating back to the 1300s. We are also the first charity shop to open in Garstang We sell a fantastic array of ladies, gents and children's wear ranging from basic to designer, plus bric-a-brac, toys, books and soft furnishings all spread over two floors. In our dedicated vintage and retro section you can find many collectables, antiques and one-off items.

About you

Do you have an eye for a bargain, get excited about sustainable fashion, love helping customers discover pre-loved treasures and want to join a friendly team - if so we want you. This role will also be supporting our shop behind the scenes, back of house, sorting donations, getting things ready for sale and making sure the shop is kept stocked and ready for our customers.

You will also be helping us to inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Full training will be provided, and travel at a reasonable local rate can be reimbursed for shifts of four hours or more, as agreed with the local manager.

How much time does the role take up?

Volunteering is flexible and can be a regular morning or afternoon. You can opt for weekdays, weekends, or as and when you are available.
