Caretaker

Are you looking for a fulfilling role where you can contribute to the smooth operation of a school environment? We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker to join our client. This position is working Monday to Friday, totaling 25 -40 hours per week.

As Caretaker you will be responsible for opening up the school each morning and ensuring it is locked up and secure each night. You will be asked to perform maintenance, security, caretaking, and cleaning duties, thereby ensuring a pleasant, safe, and hygienic, working environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Undertake general maintenance and repairs around the school premises.
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the school buildings and grounds.
- Monitor and maintain the security of the premises, including locking and unlocking facilities as required.
- Carry out minor repairs and DIY tasks as necessary.
- Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment for school events and activities.
- Report any health and safety hazards or issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Perform other duties as directed by the school management team.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar caretaking or maintenance role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Physical fitness and ability to undertake manual tasks.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for special events or emergencies.

**Salary**: £11.50 - £13.00 per hour

**A VALID DBS IS REQUIRED AND OWN TRANSPORT DUE TO LOCATION.**
