. Provide expert advice and recommendations to colleagues regarding Positive Behavioural Support (PBS).- Complete functional behaviour assessments to understand the function of behaviours of concern.- Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate PBS plans in conjunction with Support Managers.- Support, coach, and develop skills of colleagues to use person-specific PBS strategies.- Promote safe, ethical and respectful risk management strategies for people we support, complete relevant risk assessments and comply with relevant policies and requirements, including recording and reporting.- Develop PBS training resources and PBS documentation in collaboration with the Positive Behavioural Support Lead.- Deliver PROACT SCIPr-UK® and PBS Awareness training, person specific PBS training, and Active Support, alongside other qualified trainers.- Contribute to the management of the PBS and PROACT SCIPr-UK® training programme (alongside training admin)- Support with transitions for new referrals and inform new business development- Support the Restrictive Practice Reduction agenda through a data informed/PBS approach- Support a needs analysis for each person we support in relation to PBS and PROACT SCIPr-UK®, to determine the level of provision needed- Support incident analysis & debrief, sharing best practice and lessons learned- Work in partnership with people we support, colleagues, families and other professionals to develop/implement effective PBS plans.- Develop and maintain excellent communication with colleagues, families and others professionals and outside agencies.- Ensure the rights of people we support are promoted and respected at all times in line with the Human Rights Act, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty guidelines and the Trust’s policies and procedures.- Identify potential and actual safeguarding concerns and report them to the Support/Operational Manager ensuring each person is safe and protected from any form of abuse at all times.- Maintain efficient and up to date records for all assessments and interventions and produce relevant professional reports as required.- Be responsible for protecting and maintaining confidentiality of information at all times in accordance with current GDPR guidelines and Coquet Trust policies.- Take responsibility for prioritising and time management of a varied work and case load.- Maintain continued professional development and competence, keeping abreast of developments in the field of Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Condition and PBS.- Act as an ambassador for Coquet Trust, including attendance at internal and external events.- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post.Key Responsibilities
