AutoCAD Technician - 12-month maternity cover
Monday-Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm
£26,000 - £30,000 per annum DOE
Working with one of Staffordshire's innovative and leading suppliers for niche products within the building and construction industry, an AutoCAD Technician is required for a 12 month FTC, in collaboration with colleagues in all areas of the business, to provideaccurate and timely support across a leading portfolio of buildings and constructions.
With an emphasis on work life balance and both personal and professional development, this role has great potential for an experienced and hardworking AutoCAD Technician looking for their next project.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand the products and systems portfolio.
- Provide panel elevation overlays, sections and details necessary for projects complete with material schedules and all information for production using AutoCAD & Excel.
- Support the team with producing accurate information to agreed timelines.
- Manage document control processes.
- If required update the Customer Portal and liaise with Marketing and suppliers to ensure technical data is always accurate and up to date.
- Participate in conference calls, in-person meetings and virtual meetings with customers.
- Assist in material optimisation in preparation of materials order processing.
- Phasing of material schedules based on customer requirements.
**Requirements**:

- Educated to HNC/HND within a construction related area.
- Degree in Construction/Façade/Engineering related field - desirable
- Confidence in using Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience using AutoCAD/Solidworks/Rivet.
- Understanding of building practices and regulations involving facades.
- Understanding of Architectural drawings and specifications.
- A good understanding of construction methods and building regulations.
Desired attributes:

- Experience of a similar role with façade rainscreen or cladding systems.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Experience using construction design software (e.g., AutoCAD)
- Experience using Revit advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills (telephone and interpersonal).
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively.
- Logical mind.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
