Here at Prichard’s we are looking for an engineer with experience of repairing a wide range of mechanical construction equipment, including diesel and petrol engines, who want to develop their career and help us grow our business.

The Role

As part of a depot-based workshop team, you will be responsible for ensuring that a high percentage of our equipment is available for hire, working closely with our office, warehouse and driving teams. You will be fault-finding, maintaining and repairing a wide range of small tools, plant and machinery, as follows:

- 110V and cordless power tools (hammer drills, grinders, saws)
- 110V/240V site equipment (high-frequency pokers, dehumidifiers, dust extractors)
- 2-stroke and petrol equipment (cut-off saws, mixers, power floats)
- Diesel plant (generators, compressors, pressure washers)
- Air tools (breakers, picks, scabblers)
- Hydraulic equipment (power packs, pallet trucks, jacks)
- Mechanical equipment (material lifts, chain blocks, access platforms)

**What do I need?**
- A proven track record of repairing plant and tools
- The commitment to learn about our business and range of equipment
- The ability to prioritise, work quickly and pay attention to detail
- An organised and methodical approach
- A good level of numeracy, literacy and IT skill
- A sense of humour

**What are we offering?**

Excellent salary, negotiable based on experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: £10.00-£15.00 per hour
