**Overview**

This prestigious global organisation based in Farnborough are currently going through a period of expansion and as a result of this growth, are looking for a Financial Accountant to help support the needs of the business.

This is a temporary role with a strong likelihood that the position will be made permanent and would suit someone who has previous experience working in a similar position and who is immediately available or available at short notice.

**Financial Accountant - About the Role**

Reporting to the Finance Manager the Financial Accountant will play a key role in the financial accounting across a number of European legal entities.

**Your key responsibilities will be**:

- Month-end close activities: journal entries, producing management accounts etc.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Cashflow forecasting, reviewing payment runs and authorizing payments.
- Providing information needed for the preparation of the annual statutory accounts and helping to produce financial statements.
- Supporting audit requests from the external auditors.
- VAT return preparation and filing.
- Collaborating with the FP&A team to assist with variance analysis.
- Assisting with any special projects and ad-hoc reporting requirements as and when they may arise.

**The successful Financial Accountant will be**:

- Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA Accountant or QBE
- Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A good communicator with effective influencing skills.
- Ability to deliver to tight/moving deadlines without compromising quality
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
- Familiar with Oracle accounting system (advantageous)
- Detailed knowledge of VAT (UK and European)
- Confident working in a dynamic fast paced atmosphere and calm under pressure.
