Keep accurate financial records and bank payments. Obtain personal, social and medical information often of a complex nature. Often with interpreters, people with learning disabilities, communication difficulties, auditory or visual impairment or cannot read or write. Communicate effectively and with tact and diplomacy to a number of disciplines.

Patients, carers, parents, GPs, GDPs, medical and dental staff to name but a few. To provide administrative support to the service. Manage your own time and prioritise your workload, often working to strict deadlines in relation to meeting government standards and timescales. Reports Incidents and complaints to the Service manager and on Datix Actively participate in peer review and governance activities to ensure that the highest standards of patient care and business conduct are in place.

This ensures that the CDS operates in an effective, honest and open way. Manages and maintains the dental software system which records patient's notes, waiting lists, databases and the appointment system. Organises daily tasks and activities, including maintaining the appointment system to make optimim use of clinical time. Operating and maintaining the recall and waiting lists.

Ensure the safe transfer of confidential information between staff members. Ensure the safe storage of confidential information in a paper or electronic format.
