**Job Title: Farm Manager**

**Location: Cambridge**

**Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Company Pension, Private Health-care & Annual Incentive Bonus**

**Role Profile**:
**Main Duties**:

- Workload & Resource planning
- Co-ordination of staff and contractors involved in land preparation, drilling/planting, crop husbandry (spraying, fertiliser etc), harvesting and site presentation. Supervision of fixed-term/seasonal staff and contractors.
- Main point of contact with external agronomist. Liaison with Research and Production staff re recommendations
- Assist with show/demonstration preparation.
- Coordinate /Assist with keeping site presentable.
- Ensure the team operates in compliance with UK statutory and company ESH standards at all times.
- Carry out / assist with Risk Assessments , JSA Reviews and safety audits/processes
- Ensure adequate and appropriate PPE supplies are available and used.
- Line Manager responsibilities for 3 permanent agricultural staff plus student/temporary seasonal staff as required, including team communication, allocation of workload, training & development, DPR, ESH issues, COSHH.
- The role will receive the full support and services of the Operational Engineering Supervisor.
- To assist Operations & Production Manager with budgeting and financial control of departmental budget.
- Ensure safe usage of a wide range of machinery & equipment, including routine maintenance and repair in liaison with Site Operations & Engineering Manager.
- Specification and justification for new machinery purchase proposals
- All other duties as required.
**Skills and Knowledge**:

- Previous Farm Management experience
- Working knowledge of Agricultural Crops and Trials
- Tractor Driving
- Crop Husbandry knowledge
- Spraying and Spreading experience
- Pesticide Application Certified
- FLT Licence
- NROSO Membership
