Catering Assitant

We are now recruiting to a Catering Assistant at Westmorland General Hospital ( based in Kendal). We are looking for compassionate, caring, hardworking, flexible team members that are committed to enhancing our patient experience. All staff working for UHMB play a key role in the organisation. You must possess excellent Communication skills the ability to work as part of a team and have a can-do attitude

This is a full time position working 37.5 hours Monday - Friday ( you may be required to work weekends on an adhoc basis or when the service requires weekend cover) hours vary from 7.00am -3.00pm or 11.30am -7.00pm shifts

You will be required to take on board a wide range of tasks which involve maintaining high levels of cleanliness, receipting and carrying out stock control of food and non food items

working within different areas of the department which include some manual handling tasks

Completion of audit forms associated with food safety, & procedures.

You will be part of a busy team working to tight timescales, required to undertake a wide range of duties including, cleaning, receipting and doing stock control of food and non food items Completion of audit forms associated with food safety, financial policy & procedures.

You will be required to take on board a wide range of tasks which involve maintaining high levels of cleanliness, accepting and putting away food and non food deliveries

working within different areas of the department which include some manual handling tasks
