**Principal Assessor, BMS Governance & Assurance

We are looking to recruit a Principal Assessor, BMS Governance & Assurance on a permanent basis to join our

established team, to be Based at a TR office location, with the ability to work from home a possibility. Carry

out their daily tasks & responsibilities in order to support the TR Group.

**The Role**

The primary purpose of the role is to be responsible for the provision of independent and objective assurance

that the TR business continues to deliver its planned outputs in a safe and compliant manner, in accordance

with its processes and procedures, and that those processes and procedures are reviewed and improved to

ensure continued effectiveness.

**Key tasks include**:

- To at all times demonstrate adherence to the business’ values and behaviours.
- Responsible for the leadership and provision of professional, functional guidance to the central audit team,

ensuring consistent levels of technical competence are maintained to meet current and future business

needs.
- Responsible for the timely and effective completion of all findings and corrective actions assigned to the

post holder, ensuring appropriate learning is embedded into business process.
- To plan and lead multi-discipline, multi-site management system audits (virtual and onsite) of the Global

BMS, that are risk informed and also inform risk, ensuring the most appropriate audit team structure is

identified to support timely and effective outcomes.
- Responsible for the identification of risks and potential impacts upon the BMS through the conducting of

effective trend analysis of all Group internal and external audit outcomes, being able to effectively

communicate such trends to stakeholders at all levels of the business.

- To provide support, to the Group Head of Assurance, in the development of the Group internal audit

programme, interfacing with key Group stakeholders to achieve buy in and ensure timely delivery.
- Responsible for verification, though independent audit, that all Group findings have been properly

characterised and sentenced; with appropriate containment, corrective action and validation activities

undertaken to facilitate embedding of learning back into business process.
- Responsible for the provision of routine summary reports to the senior management team on the

performance of the internal audit programme, highlighting key trends, improvement opportunities and

areas of risk.

**Key Skills:
- Practitioner or Member of an accredited Quality based Professional Body, such as the Chartered Quality

Institute or other industry equivalent.
- ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor required: EN/AS 9120, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor desired.
- Excellent understanding of Business Management System frameworks, their implementation and proven

ability to effectively interpret the requirements of associated ISO Standards into language understood by
the business and to assess performance against them.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both oral and written, with the proven

ability to effectively communicate at every level of the business.
- Proven ability to plan and lead multi-functional internal audit programmes across multi-site businesses,

ensuring the structure of the audit team(s) possess the competence to deliver against required outputs.
- Proven experience of leading teams, virtually using technology and in person.
- Proven ability in promoting and leading business process improvement initiatives, liaising with other

departments and functions as appropriate.
- Demonstrable experience in audit planning, root cause and problem-solving techniques.
- Demonstrable proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Ability to travel is seen as an essential part of the role.
