Anatomical Pathology Technologist

You will hold the Level 3 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology (or equivalent) plus proven post qualification experience working within a mortuary environment. You should be competent to deal with all types of Post Mortem examinations; including high-risk and forensic cases.

You should possess a positive and flexible approach. Whilst providing an efficient and high quality service to HM Coroner you will be expected to maintain compliance with the Human tissue Authority Standards and codes of Practice. You should also possess the ability to deliver a high professional service whilst dealing with situations that can sometimes be emotionally challenging.

Primarily based at Colchester Hospital Mortuary you may on occasions be required to work at our Ipswich Hospital Mortuary site.

Reporting to the Deputy Lead for Mortuary & Bereavement Services, you shall ensure day to day services are delivered to the highest standards.

You will also be expected to participate in provision of the out of hour's service to the Trust and HM Coroner.
