Water’s Edge Catering are a small and friendly catering team, responsible for the food service at Blake Hall; a busy wedding venue, based near Ongar, Essex.

We are currently recruiting for a full time Kitchen Porter/ Assistant, to join our friendly and hardworking team at Blake Hall. We are seeking an enthusiastic team player, who is looking for a new challenge within a busy, yet fun work environment.

Reporting to our Head Chef, you will be responsible for providing support to both the kitchen and front of house teams. Your responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining the highest level of hygiene and cleaning standards in the kitchen
- Ensuring that the kitchen is properly cleaned down and all equipment is away at the end of each shift
- Basic food preparation under the guidance of our Chefs
- Ensuring that both the Front of House and Kitchen teams have a clean supply of equipment/ cutlery and crockery for service
- Keeping on top of washing up during busy service, to ensure the smooth running of the day
- Managing the deep cleaning and daily requirements of the kitchen in line with EHO standards
- Assisting the kitchen team with other elements of preparation for events

The business operates across 7 days a week and this role will be on a flexible rota system. Due to the nature of the business, you will get 3 months paid holiday during our ‘down’ season and will need to be available to work throughout peak wedding season (March-November)

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
