As part of an ongoing strategy Hays Education are looking to recruit teaching assistants to workin various schools in West Kirby, Birkenhead, Wallasey and Bebington (among others).
Your new company
This secondary school are looking for a dynamic Teaching Assistant to raise attainment levels, academic progress and improve behaviours of a targeted group of pupils in KS4. Upon review, this role will likely turn into a permanent position for the right person.Hays Education have exclusive contact with Ofsted "Outstanding" and "Good" secondary schools across the Wirral area.
Your new role
As a Teaching Assistant, your job is to break down barriers to learning, improve behaviour and academic progress of the groups of pupils. You will be working as a Teaching Assistant in either a 1:1 or small group role, you will need to be confident in workingwith mixed ability intervention groups independently and assisting with general classroom duties.
What you'll need to succeed
For this opportunity, it will be required that you have:

- Have recent Teaching Assistant experience of working with children in Educational settings (must be able to provide references for at least 6 months) - this could be through a school/ volunteer work placement.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or Education related degree
- Some knowledge or experience of providing small group support
