**We are currently recruiting for: Housing Support Officer**

**Hours of work: 37**

**Location of role**:New Beginnings - Liverpool (current remote working with an expectation to travel withing the Merseyside area)
- **The Role**:

- Our New Beginnings service is a dispersed supported accommodation project of 26 units across 3 houses. We provide a temporary home and support to individuals who are aged 18+ and homeless. New beginnings provide vital support to the individuals most vulnerable in our community and demonstrates our organisations values through the positive work they achieve.
- Our holistic focus is on the individual’s ability by co-producing meaningful outcomes with the client. Our client led assessment addresses any underlying issues that led to homelessness such as relationship breakdown, debt, mental health, recovery from addictions, offending, domestic violence and asylum seekers amongst others.
- **The Successful Applicant**:

- Nugent are excited to offer the opportunity of a Housing Support Officer role to an ambitious, enthusiastic and passionate individual who wants to make a crucial difference to people's lives.
- You will have experience of working in a housing, Support or Community related field. You will have knowledge of Safeguarding and Health and Safety procedures. You will have the patience to teach the skills integral for clients to move on from supported and to be able to sustain a home and independent life. You will have the ability to show compassion, be pro-active and communicate effectively in sometimes difficult and challenging situations whilst remaining professional and none confrontational. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role.
- You will manage your own caseload and will require good skills in I.T for electronic records with good written communication skills. Experience of support planning and risk management would be advantageous. This role forms part of the Community Team and is integral to the charity's income generation. You will assist to support our fund-raising department with specific promotions as directed by managers.
