**Job Summary**

As an assembly operative you will be responsible for building high quality products to specification based on drawings and instructions.

**Hours of work**

Monday - Thursday 7:00 am-5:30 pm. Optional overtime is available at an enhanced rate.

**Key responsibilities**

**Operational Performance**
- Demonstrate good safety behaviours in the workplace; ensure all rules / standards and procedures are adhered to at all times; wear correct personal protective equipment.
- Building products on the assembly line according to drawings, instructions, or schematics.
- Interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Using variety of hand tools to assemble large and small metal components as required.
- 100 % completion of quality checks throughout build process; ensure builds are fully assembled, to specification, and to a high quality standard.

**Essential**
- Recent experience using a variety of hand/power/air tools.
- Basic knowledge of materials particularly aluminium and steel.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team.
- Willing to undertake training as required.
- Willing to work overtime if required.
- Good physical stamina.

**Preferred**
- Experience in a high volume, fast paced manufacturing / industrial environment.
- Solid understanding of production machinery and proper assembly procedures.
- Previous experience in conveyor assembly
- Experience in mechanical fitting
