MechElec Recruitment is currently partnering with a leading provider of hydraulic control systems, in their search for an experienced Hydraulic Control Systems Fitter. As an industry specialist, Our client offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving the installation of hydraulic systems in various lifting platforms and hydraulically driven equipment. **Responsibilities**:
Collaborate with a skilled team in a clean environment to assemble and install hydraulic systems in newly built vehicles and equipment.

Accurately fit newly purchased hydraulic cylinders and control valves, ensuring precise alignment and optimal functionality.

Take ownership of the hydraulic piping installation process, ensuring efficient routing from the power source to the cylinders to achieve optimal flow and pressure.

Utilise your expertise in small diameter pipe bending to seamlessly fit hydraulic pipes to automotive type chassis, ensuring a reliable and efficient operation.

Skillfully install hydraulic systems in small vehicles, ensuring proper connection and functionality of all components.

Interpret and follow mechanical engineering assembly drawings meticulously, ensuring precise assembly and adherence to specifications.

Utilise a wide range of hand power tools, including both air-driven and battery-driven tools, to carry out installations and assembly tasks with precision.

Employ basic measuring equipment to verify accuracy and quality of workmanship, maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.

Handle components of varying shapes and weights with the utmost care during the assembly process, ensuring the safety of yourself and others.

Expertly assemble components, securely fastening them in place using bolts, screws, and other fixings, as instructed by assembly drawings and guidelines.

Occasionally utilise an overhead crane to lift components with slings and chains, adhering to strict safety protocols.

Collaborate effectively with a small team during the assembly of larger items, promoting teamwork and timely completion of projects.

Uphold a stringent quality control process, conducting self-assessment of work within your team to ensure exceptional workmanship.

Maintain meticulous attention to detail, following drawing and customer specifications at each stage of the build process.

Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety practices, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and your team while meeting production schedules.

**Requirements**:
Proven experience and expertise in fitting hydraulic control systems, including comprehensive knowledge of hydraulic components such as cylinders and control valves.

Proficiency in interpreting and following mechanical engineering assembly drawings accurately, ensuring precise assembly and adherence to specifications.

Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with a wide range of hand power tools, both air-driven and battery-driven.

Demonstrated capability in small diameter pipe bending and fitting to automotive type chassis, showcasing your technical prowess.

Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship and accurate assembly.

Thorough understanding of Health and Safety practices, prioritizing safety in the workplace.

Ability to work effectively as part of a small team, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication.

Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines consistently.

Physical fitness for manual handling of components of varying sizes and weights.

Immediate availability for work, with a commitment to punctuality and reliability.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, from 07:00 to 15:30 hrs
