**Job overview**:
An exciting opportunity to be part of the podiatry team based at The Royal Oldham Hospital.The post holder will assist podiatrists on outpatient clinics in the Diabetes Centre and support the team on the wards.

The post holder will communicate and work closely with multidiscipliniary teams in acute and community settings.

**Achievement of national Care Certificate / L2 Health related vocational qualification, or willingness to work towards is required for this role.**

**Main duties of the job**:

- To carry out screening of patients with diabetes (training available on site)
- Provide foot care advice to patients
- Prepare clinic environment following infection control protocols
- Support the podiatrists in manufacturing offloading devices

- Knowledge of podiatric conditions and procedures through training experience to NVQ3 or equivalent

- Previous experience in a patient-focused setting

**Desirable criteria**:

- Experience of work in an NHS team
- Podiatry Assistant experience or willingness to train

**Knowledge Skills and Experience**:
**Desirable criteria**:

- Knowledge of customer care
- Knowledge wound care
- Good IT skills
- Good communication skills and can liaise well with range of people and colleagues
- Good time management and organisational skills
