Cmm Inspector

_**WORKING HOURS - MON-THURS 8AM - 4:30PM. FRIDAY 8AM - 1PM**_

Reporting to the **Quality Manager, **duties include dimensional inspection of the product, ensuring customer specifications are met and certifying the product meets industry standards.

A strong understanding of the Aerospace engineering industry and its customers would be ideal.

**Your main duties will include the following**:

- Dimensional inspection of product using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) or by using standard Inspection measuring equipment.
- Creating dimensional Inspection Reports using PC-DMIS software or Manual Inspection Reports as applicable.
- Analysing dimensional Inspection Reports and making recommendations to stakeholders to correct any errors found.
- Documenting any quality issues and creating a system for recording such documentation (NCR Reporting).
- Ensuring inspection operations are followed at every stage of production as stipulated on Route Cards.
- Creating procedure checklists and coordinating with other Inspectors.
- Supporting internal Calibration activities.
- Supporting Quality Assurance on: Conducting First Article Inspections (FAIR) activities.
- Compilation and review of customer deliverables including Document Dossiers

Review of Quarantined /Bonded Product.
- Compilation and follow up of NCRs.
- Training new staff.
- Dealing with customer feedback and complaints.**Ideally you will have**:

- Minimum of two years of experience using a CMM & PC- DMIS software
- Shop Floor experience in an aerospace tool making / engineering environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including CAD Models
- The ability to analyse the quality and performance of a product
- The ability to work well with others
- The ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Flexibility and openness to change
- An understanding of the software utilised in the industry
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Thorough attention to detail

**Salary**: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
