Accounts Assistant

Ascend are an award-winning and rapidly growing property business and one of the market leaders specialising in the Build-to-Rent market. Our head office is based in Sale, South Manchester, however we manage 80+ BtR sites across the UK. We are going through a strong period of growth in all aspects of the business, making it an exciting time to join.
Due to the continual growth and success across Ascend are seeking an accounts/senior accounts assistant vacancy due to the reoccurring need to add new heads to the team to accommodate for our future development.
**Key Responsibilities**
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for assisting with all general accounts tasks, working within our busy clients accounts team, you duties will include but not be limited to;
- Bank reconciliations
- Weekly contractor payment runs
- Creating and logging invoices
- Scanning invoices
- Reporting on cash levels
- Managing a mailbox
- Liaising with suppliers
- Ad Hoc duties to support the wider finance team
**Skills Knowledge and Expertise**
- Punctual and reliable
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Computer literate
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- High levels of integrity with a can do attitude
- Highly accurate with an eye for detail
- Good numerical and problem solving ability
This role would suit someone with prior accounts experience or someone with a strong customer service skillset who is keen to learn and develop their skillset within a busy and supportive accounts team.
