**Job Description - Nursery Apprentice - 40 hours per week**

**Qualification status**: Unqualified or on an apprenticeship training scheme
**Salary**:National Minimum Wage

**Shift pattern**:Mon, 8-6/ Tues, 8-1/ Wed, 8-6/ Thurs, 8-6/ Fri,1-6

**Responsibilities**:

- To support the work of the Room Leader and Manager, assisting with daily tasks as requested
- To have a growing awareness of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework
- To assist in providing a welcoming, secure and caring environment
- To help nurture the children’s spiritual, moral and social development
- To help promote a disciplined atmosphere that is balanced with love and care
- To help ensure that outside play activities are conducted safely and assist in garden monitoring
- To help support and promote continuity and experience in learning, bearing in mind the individual developmental needs of each child
- To help plan, prepare, organise, monitor and evaluate programmes of work
- To help assess, record and report on the development, progress and achievements of the children
- To be familiar with the Early Learning Goals and work with the staff and management of the

setting in fulfilling the aims set out in our policies and curriculum documents, communicating any difficulties appropriately to your Manager in an open and honest fashion
- To display the children’s efforts and other items attractively and effectively
- To be constantly looking for ways in which the setting could be improved, helping to create a

thriving environment dedicated to improving standards
- To work as part of a cohesive team being willing to take on tasks as requested and evaluate your own performance
- To play a part in ensuring high standards of cleanliness within the setting and to be aware of and follow safety procedures
- To attend events arranged for the children and to benefit the children, families and setting as a whole
- To work towards achieving additional qualifications beneficial to the setting e.g. (but not limited to) Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene etc.
- To take on any other reasonable responsibilities requested by the Manager of the Nursery

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £9,645.00-£15,841.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
