**We are looking for a Support Worker to join our Service based in Swinton on a permanent part time basis (25 hours per week)**

The shifts may include include long days (12 hour shifts) and weekend working, with one weekend off per rota. Shifts can include an early start 7am or a late finish 9.30pm. We are looking for flexibility, and willingness to cover extra shifts for annual leave and sickness etc. We realise that your quality time is important too, so your rota is prepared well in advance.

The service is a large bungalow with both male and females. The People we Support communicate both verbally and non-verbally so you will need to be patient, observant and passionate about building communication. We love having fun so a good sense of humour and willingness to be a bit silly at times is essential. We have great one to one times from bowling to cinema to stage shows etc.

Some of the support you will be providing includes arranging and supporting with a wide range of activities, finding new places to visit, supporting with personal care, household tasks, cooking meals, medication/medical appointments. Financial support and keeping digital records up to date.

The role of a Support Worker can be challenging at times, so it is essential to have a positive mind-set with a desire to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. You will need to be quick thinking and be able to plan ahead and organise in advance with a positive can-do attitude.
