Responsible for planning own workload, meeting off duty and on call cover to ensure optimum use of resources to provide client centered care within community and birth centre settings. Carry and manage own caseload in partnership with a small group of midwifery colleagues to give continuity of care to women in that caseload. Process own work and time records to meet the unpredictability of a 24 hour midwifery service within Powys and provide clinical support where necessary to colleagues within broader teams across Powys. Assist in the responsibilities for stock control and general birth centre/team area management e.g. Pharmacy, CSSD and equipment. Responsible for monitoring own equipment ensuring it is fit for purpose in community and birth centre setting. Plan and organise of ongoing programs of care and educations as required.
