Job Overview

**Responsibilities**:

- 1. Team Leadership and Management_
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bartenders and barbacks; assigning tasks, and providing training and guidance where needed.
- Lead by example on the bar, utilising your wealth of industry experience to foster a positive and collaborative work environment whilst motivating team members meet expected service standards and deliver excellent service.
- 2. Customer Service Excellence_
- Ensure that all staff members adhere to established service standards and provide friendly, efficient, and attentive service to customers at all times.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally, liaising with the duty manager on shift to resolve any issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- 3. Bar Operations and Stock Management_
- Lead the daily bar setup and breakdown by adhering to venue opening and closing check lists
- Oversee stock and inventory management reporting any shortages or discrepancies to Duty Manager and minimising waste.
- Conduct regular inventory and equipment audits and maintain accurate records of stock movements and wastage.
- 4. Quality Control and Compliance_
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regs, licensing requirements, and sanitation standards.
- Oversee and monitor the quality and consistency of cocktails, draught beers, and other beverages, taking corrective action as needed to uphold standards of excellence.
- 5. Team Performance_
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members, recognising achievements and addressing areas for improvement. E.g product knowledge tests etc.
- Identify training needs and opportunities for team development, implementing skill-building activities and fostering a cohesive team bar culture.

Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a bar or hospitality environment.
- Extensive bartending experience with strong understanding of cocktail preparation skills and drinks service standards.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on building positive relationships both with customers and amongst other venue staff.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, licensing requirements, and industry best practices.
- Relevant certifications or training in bartending, hospitality management, or related fields are a plus.

**Salary**: £14.82 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week

- Supervising experience: 1 year (required)

- Hospitality: 3 years (required)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Management: 1 year (preferred)
