**Job Description - Quality Team Auditor**

Registered Manager

We support service users with, mental illness, learning disabilities, dementia, and additional complex needs, to live the life they want within the service. We support service-users in all aspects of daily living and community participation by being an instrumental part of their daily lives by giving regular one to one support which includes individual support by suggesting and leading activities that aids service-users in leading a valued and fulfilled life.

**Main function of the role**:
Working closely with the Registered Manager and the Senior Management team to achieve regulatory compliance working in line with regulations set by the Care Quality Commission and Local Authorities. You will undertake regular planned quality governance audit activities across supported living and domically care schemes. You will be responsible for ensuring audit action plans and outcomes are recorded and followed up.

**Key responsibilities**:
Working in partnership with colleagues in the quality team and senior management team you will ensure regulations and organisational priorities are met by undertaking regular quality audits, reporting findings, and ensuring actions have been completed. You will plan your workload and have established time management skills. You will communicate effectively with all internal, external stakeholders and staff teams.
- You will work closely with the Registered Manager and Senior Management Team to improve reporting and information gathering.
- You will carry out investigation when needed for incident/accident /safeguarding and provide lessons learned reporting to the management team.
- You will carry out trouble shooting, trend analysis and report on findings with suggested solutions to the management team.
- Work closely with other Quality Assurance colleagues to gain understanding and insight, to gather data and deliver results.
- You will undertake and complete audits in line with the agreed monitoring plan and ensure services are working within the required guidance to the required standards, all audits will be undertaken within agreed timelines, and you will deliver audit feedback and action plans to the relevant manager.
- You will set actions for the Managers to work towards where audits have identified shortfalls in practice, you will ensure these actions are being followed up and completed to ensure the service continues to be compliant.
- You will measure standards against previous audits that have been completed for the service to ensure the company is sustaining improvement.
- You will work closely with the training team to ensure any identified training needs and improvements are communicated and implemented within the organisation ensuring all recommendations are followed up on and completed.
- You will perform knowledge checks with staff to ensure in house training has met required outcomes, report any knowledge gaps or training needs to their line manager and training colleagues and follow up on progress of identified gaps.
- You will provide practical advice and support, acting as a resource, role model and mentor to colleagues and support staff.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to share good practice and resources.
- Ensure that all information of confidential nature gained during duty is not divulged to third parties.
- Maintain high standards of communication throughout all daily tasks within the service and with the internal management team.
- To attend regular quality meetings and ensure any actions identified from previous meetings are completed within a timely manner.
- Demonstrate drive and energy to get the job done and have an open mindset in your work to be able to adapt in changing circumstances.
- Work in accordance with standards agreed with the Nominated Individual/Registered Manager/ Managing Director/Senior Management team to uphold and implement CQC legislative requirements, relevant regulations, and in line with best practice.
- Any other duties as required by the Senior Management Team

You will be required to maintain current skills and undertake training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain that currency of practice.

You will at times work with other professionals, including senior team, managers, senior support workers, social workers, other outreach and community support workers, drug action groups, youth offending services, the police, education authority and other health authorities.

**In addition to these functions, you will be required to carry out such duties and competencies as may reasonably be required such as**:

- Have a good working knowledge of the service that you are based in ensuring that you are aware of service users’ support plans, risk assessments, finances, and medication cycles.
