Assistant Accountant

Robert Half is working with a brilliant non-for-profit organisation with offices in Airdrie for the recruitment of an Assistant Accountant to join their team. This is the ideal position for a part-qualified accountant or QBE with relevant experience.

Please note: the role is on a hybrid basis and requires 2 days a week in the office. Weekly branch visits (within area of residence) can also be expected.

Reporting into the Financial Manager, this role involves:

- Assisting with production of monthly management accounts and reports and monthly reconciliation of balance sheet items
- Production of monthly consolidated forecast
- Production of monthly invoices and assisting credit control when required in securing payments
- Assistance and coordination of information flow in respect of annual statutory audit
- Business Partnering to non-finance stakeholders (branch leaders)
- Finding ways to utilise system to full capacity, team is open to new ideas and procedures
- Supervising junior staff

**Profile**
- This role would suit a part qualified or QBE Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with good knowledge of accounting standards
- Strong IT skills, proven examples of supporting team through tech implementations
- Great interpersonal skills
- Able to meet tight deadlines
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere

Salary between £29000 and £31000 per annum plus benefits depending on qualifications and experience (study support can be provided). Hybrid working week.
