**Job Description**:
Fixed Term opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Reporting Actuary to join our Solvency II Reporting team. Reporting to the Risk Capital Reporting Actuary, the Reporting Manager will play a vital role in delivering Solvency II reporting for Aegon UK.

The Role

The purpose of the role is to play a leading role in the delivery of the actuarial results required for Solvency II, Market Consistent Value of New Business, and Group economic capital reporting. The role also plays a significant part in supporting the development of the Aegon UK Medium Term Plan.

Key responsibilities
- Take a leading role in the calculation of the Solvency II results for Scottish Equitable plc Non-Profit Sub Fund liabilities, ensuring a robust control framework is applied with a clear explanation of the results.
- Take a leading role in the calculation of the Market Consistent Value of New Business results, and critically analyse and communicate results. Ensure a process of checks and controls is in place around all results with the aim of minimising the risks of incorrect reporting of numbers.
- Take a leading role in the calculation of Solvency II results for the Aegon UK Medium Term Plan.
- Take a leading role in the calculation of the New Economic Framework results, ensuring a robust control framework is applied with a clear explanation of the results.

**Skills**:

- Qualified actuary (fellowship level).
- Strong interpersonal and management skills.
- Sound judgement and ability to operate independently and on own initiative.
- Strong statistical skills and the ability to explain complex statistical outcomes to a less technical audience.
- Ability to understand and interpret the implications of regulatory capital requirements both for existing and new regulations on our business.

Knowledge
- High level of mathematical and actuarial ability.
- A detailed understanding of the impact of financial markets and other external factors on solvency.
- A detailed understanding of the requirements of Regulatory (PRA) reporting and rules.
- An excellent working knowledge of the Solvency II rules.
