**Tempting Recruitment **are working on behalf of our client, a
**local authority** in
**Tyneside **to recruit an experienced
**Catering Assistant, **If you are looking to increase your earnings for the year,

**Contract: 3 - 6 months (Possible Extension)**

**Salary: £11p/h (Umbrella)**

**Start Date: ASAP**

**Shift Pattern: 36 hours / Full-time**

**DUTIES**:

- Setting up of the dining/café area including the cleaning of tables etc.
- Transportation of meals between kitchen and the serving / dining area as necessary.
- To assist with computer based activities commensurate with the post to include data entry / accessing the computer based food ordering system.
- Undertake and maintain records of food storage temperatures.
- Be able to work flexibly with regards to working hours and patterns of work on a rota basis to meet the demands of the service.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Knowledge of catering equipment usage.
- Relevant experience in catering.
- Basic food hygiene certificate.
- Ability to work as part of a team and/or on own initiative
- Some experience of using IT packages such as Word, Excel and databases etc.
