I am delighted to be working with a well-established top 150 national organization based in NG1, looking for a Trust Administrator to join their team on a full-time basis. Whether you are 1-2 years + PQE, or have a background in accountancy and tax, thisis not an opportunity to miss.
JOB TITLE: Trust Administrator
SALARY: £30,000.00 - £50,000.00 (Dependent on experience)
LOCATION: NG1
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week
THE ROLE:
" Overseeing the creation and maintenance of trust databases.
" Providing regular reports on progress to Private Client Lead Partner.
" Detecting individual trusts from our existing records and, with the assistance of a junior team, populating a composite database of all company Trust matters under management.
" The development of an interactive database of trust matters to deliver a streamlined service.
" Preparation of Annual Trust reports and accounts.
" The preparation of annual trust tax returns for our partner accountancy practices and maintenance of links with those practices.
" Cash flow management
" Liaison with stockbrokers, insurance brokers and land agents.
" Provision of tax advice to trustees and settlors.
" Meeting agreed targets for chargeable time, fee income generated, billing and fee collection.
" Proactively developing new business opportunities from internal cross-referrals and existing clients
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
" Excellent record management skills to ensure our internal trust records are kept up to date
" Will have a background in corporation tax, in either accountancy practice or in an industry-based role.
" If no accountancy experience, will have experience as a Private Client Solicitor - 2 years PQE
" Skilled at Excel
" Experience managing trust databases
" Requires detailed knowledge of HMRC's Trust Registration Service (TRS) registration.
