**HGV MECHANIC VACANCY**

**We are looking to recruit an HGV Mechanic to be based at our Bridlington site maintaining fleet of Refuse Trucks, Skip-loaders, hook-loaders and plant.**

**You are required to have**:

- Have relevant qualifications or experience required to maintain vehicles and plant machinery.
- Have a flexible approach to work - as we are a operate long hours and you will be expected to work to meet business demands.
- Be able to manage your time effectively, working both alone and as part of a team.

**Your duties will include**:

- Ensuring that the HGVs and trailers are kept in service by monitoring and repairing defects as they arise.
- Putting in place a preventative maintenance schedule.
- Respond to breakdowns when necessary.
- Liaising with transport management to ensure compliance requirements are met.
- Vehicle Inspections
- Ability to work on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles
- General Servicing
- Correction / repair of vehicle defects
- MOT Preparation / Presentation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
