**Hours of work**:08.00 - 16.30 Monday to Friday

**Summary**:
We are currently looking for a Credit Controller to join our Finance Team based at our Head Office in Leamington Spa, with hybrid working (up to 2 days per week at home) available after successful completion of three month probation period and upon confirmation of a suitable working environment.

This role is ideal for someone looking for a largely autonomous role where you would be able to bring your previous skills and experience to the company to improve current processes and help drive the department forward. We are looking for not only a technically competent individual, but someone with a natural ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

**Key responsibilities**:
Take a proactive approach to manage and collect debts and ensure database notes are kept up to date

Ensure the level of bad debt or debt in query is mínimal at all times

Monitor and allocate unallocated cash

Negotiate payment plans and ensure these are adhered to

Manage debts sent to outside agencies for collection

Liaise with branches to ensure credit notes are raised in a timely manner

Resolve customer queries

Review customer credit limits

Take card payments from account holders as necessary

Ensure customers accounts are at the correct credit control status

Provide monthly reporting and debt updates to the Finance Manager and Board of Directors

Drive efficiencies within the department

**Required skills**:
Proactive and driven worker who is able to work effectively with mínimal supervision

Excellent negotiation skills

Previous exposure to sales ledger/credit control (ideally with experience in full ledger management from account opening up to escalation of debts)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills

Detail oriented with excellent organisational skills

Competent IT Skills - specifically Excel and Word

Ideally CICIM Level 2 qualified
