We have a number of opportunities for Electricians to join our repairs and maintenance team who will carry out a range of high quality electrical related works including installation, maintenance, and repairs of complex electrical control, wiring and lightingsystems throughout various residential, commercial, and corporate properties in the Borough. This role reports to the Electrical Service Delivery Manager and will perform a wide range of duties.
**Electrician Responsibilities**:

- Working collaboratively with designers and planners on construction projects including reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
- Installation, testing, maintenance, and enhancement of electrical systems and components, including fuses, lighting, and wiring
- Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards and relevant legislation and policies
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning
- Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
- Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
- Calibrate equipment to provided specifications
- Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs
- Communicate with the wider repairs and maintenance and trade personnel in team as well as liaise with clients, suppliers and other trades
**Electrician Requirements**:

- NVQ level 3 or above
- 18th Edition
- Test and inspect 2391 (desirable)
- Proven ability to deliver high quality electrical works to meet client expectations on projects whilst maintaining efficient output
- Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
- Ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work appropriately
- Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems
- Excellent understanding of Health and Safety regulations and procedures
- Capability of taking initiative and working independently
- Ability to communicate with key stakeholders effectively and confidently
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
