**Job Purpose**:
To form part of the team responsible for the smooth running of the branch, supporting it by building excellent relationships with local trade customers. To assist on the Trade Counter with sales and enquiries providing excellent customer service. Correctly prepare and pack customers orders and load and unload deliveries ensuring stock arriving is booked in quickly and efficiently.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- To assist on the Trade counter with sales or enquiries as and when required so that the Company’s customers receive a prompt and efficient service.
- To answer incoming enquiries by phone or fax to ensure the Company’s customers receive a professional service.
- Referring any unresolved query or discrepancy to the Branch Manager.
- To promote any new stock lines or ‘special offers’ to existing customers with a view to obtaining orders for these and other items to maximise the Company’s sales turnover.
- To put away all deliveries, neatly and correctly and as soon as possible to allow the completion of customer orders.
- To ensure that all stock is stored neatly, correctly and safely in order to avoid potential accidents.
- To correctly prepare all deliveries ready for despatch allowing the drivers to load and deliver the goods to the customer.
- To ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
- Employees are to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times while at work or out on Company Business.
- To carry out all other associated duties as and when required.

**What are we looking for**:
We are seeking a Trade Counter Sales/Warehouse Operative who is smart, presentable and enthusiastic to deliver an outstanding level of service to our customers in the Essex and East Anglia areas. Excellent customer service a must and previous Trade Counter/warehouse experience preferred.
