Quality Auditor

**Salary**: £23,000 - £25,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Auditor to join our Technical team on a full time, permanent basis. Working cross functionally, the role will include undertaking internal and some external audits against customer and Capestone standards. The primary aims are to support other functions in ensuring compliance through verification, challenging how we do things and being part of the solution. Initially you will work with all three job holders listed above to gain an in depth knowledge of each part of the factory. The job holder will be an ambassador for food safety across the factory. The focus is on process robustness and helping people to attain those standards.

Your duties will include:

- Supporting technical team members in ensuring the business is audit ready
- Providing support to the business in all technical processes for example, HACCP and process flows, specification management (internal and customer)
- Educating, informing and supporting other functions in achieving the defined standards
- Acquiring a working understanding of M&S requirements and utilise gap analyses to help with the implementation of those standards
- Sampling and auditing processes, trending out of findings and generating key metrics
- Conducting internal audits against BRC and customer standards against a defined frequency or as requested by team members
- Using the internal specification system to verify compliance
- Deputising for colleagues when appropriate
- Supporting the Technical Management team in any customer visits and third-party audits
- Providing extended cover and support to production during peak production periods

Desirable specifications:
- This is an ideal first role for a new qualified Graduate or HND Diploman holder.
- Ability and confidence to present to customers
- Understanding of poultry and / or other meat processing systems
- Knowledge of raw material intake protocols
- Priority setting and adherence to planned schedules
- Organised and focused to be able to deliver to a pre-agreed timescale
- Ability to work independently but liaise with every level of staff in the organisation
- Develop problem solving skills
- Positive and analytical attitude to see an issue to the end
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to manage several projects at the same time
- Delegation skills
- Clear communication on what is to be achieved
