We are looking for a committed Christian with a sense of vision and purpose and a creative approach, to serve a pioneering expression of Church within the Forest of Dean. This exciting new role will involve working actively within the community, building positive relationships and promoting the wider Salvation Army within the Forest.

As a key member of the church team, you will help people of all ages explore the Christian faith in creative and relevant ways. The key aims of the role include delivering a successful Salvation Army fresh expression strategy that:

- Delivers community work
- Empowers local people
- Grows the volunteer team to achieve the aims of the church

This will include leading and facilitating discipleship, worship, social action and mission whilst modelling a consistent Christian lifestyle.

**To succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate**:

- A track record of working with people e.g. youth groups or older people’s groups
- Experience of helping people explore the Christian faith in creative and relevant ways
- That they are a committed and practising Christian who has a calling to youth and community work and a desire to promote The Salvation Army’s beliefs and values
- A sense of vision and creative approach to community work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
