**Division info**:
The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

**Summary of position**:
As a key member of the small, focused HR team, the HR Advisor/Counsellor is key to providing generalist HR support and guidance to the Nottingham Operations team. Supported by the HR function based at Runcorn, the HR Advisor will provide HR support to line managers.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Dealing with daily HR related queries
- Maintenance of HRIS and paper-based HR documentation
- Assisting with recruitment campaigns and interview process
- Using HR information systems to access, input and compile HR related data
- Maintaining the HR corporate database and producing the HR payroll report
- Absence management and reporting of KPI
- Facilitation of the disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Health and safety reporting

**Qualifications**:

- Ideally a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- CIPD level 5 (or studying towards Level 5) or Degree in Human Resources or similar
- Desirably with experience in manufacturing/aviation
- Experience of maintaining a HR systems
- Proven and demonstrable ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, team leaders and employees
- Knowledge of health and safety practices a distinct advantage
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Proactive
- Ability organise and plan workload against company deadlines
- Proven ability to look for improvement in processes
- Self motivator
