**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Production Manager, you are responsible for carrying out all sewing machining and related work which forms part of the construction of products manufactured by the company. You are responsible for adhering to the high quality standards required to ensure customers receive the best possible product.

**Key Elements of Role**:
- Responsible for accurately sewing together the component parts using different industrial sewing machinery and stitch types ensuring that quality standards are always maintained, and if applicable working within an agreed piece rate system.
- Working as part of a close-knit team, you will communicate effectively with your colleagues to ensure the flow of work is consistent and in line with production requirements.
- You will support other team members to ensure a fair distribution of work through the Sew Team. Where necessary, moving on to second/third works and machines.
- You will be responsible for carrying out daily production duties to agreed performance standards including maximum safe working rates and ensuring quality & safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Any urgent works, as directed by the Production Manager, must be prioritised, and handled without any unnecessary delay.
- With the regular introduction of new styles and required changes to production processes, you will be open and adaptable to change and willing to work in the development and assembly of new products.
- Occasionally you may be required to assist in other areas of the company, you will be required to be flexible and enthusiastic to help in other areas.
- Work with the Production Manager and Assistant Production Manager on your personal training and development needs in order to effectively carry out roles as described above.
- Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Ensure all waste is kept to a minimum and where possible rubbish is recycled using all the appropriate sources.
- Assist with accurate periodic cycle counts and stock takes as directed.
- Committing to culture of ‘no defect forward’ as to eliminate production issues.
- Any other duties as directed by Management.

Pay: From £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
