First Call Contract Services are recruiting for full time aircraft de-icer operatives, to work at Luton Airport. This is a fixed term position over the winter periods.

You will also be involved in driving there trucks airside (full UK car licence required)

**About the role**:

- You will be responsible for de-icing aircraft, pre departure. Using the latest de-icing equipment, you will be up to 50 foot in the air, controlling the de-icer system. Your role is extremely important in keeping aircrafts and passengers safe.
- You will perform pre-planning check on the equipment and trucks.
- The primary role is to remove ice from the aircraft, spraying the aircraft with de-icing liquid from the cabin.
- With training provided, you will operate the cabin to lift yourself above the aircraft and operate the de-icing hose / liquid. You will be in the cabin alone, but with a headset connected to the truck driver to communicate with.
- You may also drive the trucks around the aircraft, with someone else de-icing the aircraft.
- During warmer days, you may be involved in other duties onsite. This could be cleaning the trucks or helping the team out in the unit.

**What we need from you**:

- Great communication skills.
- Highly motivated and happy to work alone when de-icing.
- Happy to work at heights.
- A full UK licence.
- Ideally previous experience in driving specialised or larger vehicles.
- Happy to work in cold weather, early starts or late finishes

**Pay and Shifts**:

- £12.25 per hour, weekly paid.
- 4am-12pm or 12pm-8pm (must be flexible with start and finish times due to weather).
- Must be available on weekends. Tuesday and Wednesday generally quiet days.
- 40 hours per week paid, regardless of whether you are working or on standby on site.

Full paid training provided, both practical and theory.

This job requires full 5-year references and criminal checks, so we can get your airside pass. This can take up to 4 weeks so please do not delay in registering your interest.
