**MARAC Coordinator - Brent Council**
**3 - 6+ Month Ongoing Contract**

**Essentials**:
- In-depth knowledge of VAWG, with a particular focus on the dynamics of domestic abuse, (physical, emotional and sexual violence, coercive control, so-called ‘honour-based violence’, forced marriage, stalking and harassment, human trafficking, FGM), its impact on women, children, families, communities and their safety
- Experience of working within the Domestic Abuse, VAWG sector and/or related sectors.
- Experience of undertaking risk and needs assessments, safety and support planning, crisis planning and successfully managing high numbers of referrals
**Job Role**:
- The role will coordinate our Domestic Abuse MARAC which takes place on a fortnightly basis. The Coordinator will also work with two administrators in completing administrative duties.
- To manage the operation and administration of the MARAC, (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference), for the London Borough of Brent and support the improvement of community safety and social outcomes in Brent, including the progression and development of the Council’s response to domestic abuse/VAWG, ensuring an effective approach across the partnership.
- To provide high quality co-ordination, administrative support, training and project development to the MARAC process by working in partnership with the agencies supported by MARAC, and providing first point of contact, support and advice, including maintaining key working relationships and partnerships with various stakeholders, including internal partners and external partners across Brent.
- To facilitate the processes of the MARAC, with the inclusion of receiving referrals and risk assessments; agenda setting; ensuring the recording of MARAC minutes and actions has been undertaken; ensuring the completion of agreed actions discussed at the MARAC have been carried out by partner agencies; and maintaining relevant databases.
