**Job Title**: Building Maintenance Assistant

**Location**: Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, HP21 8AL

**Shift Pattern**: Monday to Friday between, 08:00 - 16:00, 37.5 hours per week.

**Pay**: £12.45 per hour plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays

- This is a temporary role._

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Water flushers required to go around the hospital running taps, flushing toilet to ensure that there is continuous flow of water.
- This role will require a lot of walking through the hospital so good fitness is required
- Looking at the conditions of the taps and recording defect/faulty taps on the tablet and updating the database.
- Liaise with Estates Supervisor/Team Leader to request the supply of goods and/or services, as necessary.
- Undertake and assist with essential works and general maintenance activities at the request of the Estates Supervisor/Charge hand.
- You will be working alone and trusted to complete tasks unsupervised.
- PPE is required to be worn (provided).
- As this is a hospital you will sometimes be in sensitive areas.
- The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above._

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written (GCSE Maths and English)
- Microsoft office skills
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
