Key Responsibilities:

- Estimating: Assist in the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for sheet metal fabrication projects, considering material costs, labour expenses and overheads.
- Technical Learning: Develop a comprehensive understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, welding and finishing techniques.
- CAD and Nesting: Gain proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and the nesting of metal parts to optimise material usage and minimise waste.
- MRP System: Undergo full training on our Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system to effectively manage project data, track orders and ensure timely production schedules.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior estimators, engineers and production staff to gather necessary information and insights for accurate estimations.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing refinement of our estimating processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills:

- A passion for engineering and manufacturing with a desire to learn and grow within the industry.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to learn the interpretation of technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Prior experience or coursework in CAD software is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

**Salary**: From £25,000.00 per year
